Community College is a great option for all students planning to attend college. Students can earn a certificate, Associate's Degree, college credit, and more for an affordable price. There are 114 California Community Colleges! Other States also have Community Colleges.

College in High School
Changes to College in High School Program
Beginning in Spring 2020, high school students can take free college classes upon completion of the 8th grade or equivalent. There is no longer a GPA requirement.

First-time students who are California residents may be able to get two years of free tuition.

Transfer Information
Use http://assist.org to help you select the proper courses at the community college that will meet the specific GED requirements for your major at the CSU or UC to which you plan to transfer. Assist is an online transfer information system that shows how credits earned at one California public college can be applied when transferred to another.

American River College is the closest campus in the Los Rios Community College District! It is known for some of its unique programs that aren't offered elsewhere. Every year, a number of Antelope Students choose to attend ARC.
